Did You Know?

Here are some fun facts and links for your Wednesday...

Eyes of Totem was a silent film shot in Tacoma in 1926.  It's been gathering dust for almost 90 years... until now!  You can check out the restoration at a screening coming this September.  King5 has the story...

We've got current students and alumni in the news!

Brian "Stewie" Giron is currently attending SFI in the Acting for Film program and it's already working for him!  Stewie is shooting Better Than Love right here in the greater Seattle area for producer Tim Schaaf.  This is a big production with some excellent buzz... We think we'll be hearing much more from Stewie in the near future.

Catch a selection of Brett Renville's work:  http://www.brettrenville.com and see clips here.

Here is your handy, dandy Washington State Film Calendar.

And finally, don't miss out on our Informational Meeting and Open House.  It's coming up tomorrow, Thursday, May 21 from 5-7:30 p.m. right here in our big red Seattle Film Institute building.  It's free -- drop in and get some great info about attending film school.  Evening classes, Teen Program and more -- you can do it and go to film school!  We're here to make your dreams a reality and we've got $300,000 in institutional grants to help.
